Victims of crime and trauma need safety, healing and justice. Victim Support exists to ensure free information, advice and support is always available to those affected by crime, trauma or suicide – 24/7, nationwide. Victim Support takes a wellbeing approach to their support and work with family and whānau as a whole to meet their needs. Prevention of further harm is core to their work. 

 About the mahi

We have an exciting opportunity for a successful Fundraising Manager to join our Wellington-based fundraising team. Working alongside the General Manager, Fundraising and Communications, this is a hands-on, operational role  where you will be responsible for managing and enhancing relationships with major funding partners, preparing major trust and grant applications, and managing donor development programmes including appeals, lotteries, and regular giving.

This role also requires strong leadership skills, being responsible for staff management and the development of a small but highly capable Fundraising team.

About you

Your proven experience in managing successful large scale fundraising events means you bring strong relationship and event management skills. You have a track record of connecting with a diverse range of stakeholders and successfully establishing and maintaining key supporter relationships. Our ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3 years’ experience in fundraising, preferably in the not-for-profit sector and ideally 2+ years of people management experience
• Outstanding oral and written presentation skills
• Outstanding time management skills
• Must maintain a clean criminal record and a positive working relationship with the NZ Police.
• A valid, clean full driver’s licence
